I read something a while back that mentioned including vitamin E (mixed tocopherols) along with vitamin C, as it seemed to act as a 'catalyst' of sorts... making the C more effective. The vitamin C that I prefer includes some citrus bioflavonoid complex, (incl rutin)... & I almost always include fresh citrus (grapefruit, an orange, etc) when I take my C (just trying to trick my body into thinking that I've found some incredibly vitamin-rich fruit!) & other vitamins, in the morning. (I take B vitamins before bedtime, since they're water-soluble.. & I don't want the morning beverage to wash them out of my system right away.)

Although I never resorted to taking the amounts of C that Dr. Pauling did, I think that he was "onto something" worth pursuing, with regard to his health maintenance. What you mentioned about the lack of interest by Pharma in unpatentable therapies is a critical deficiency in our local version of "western medicine"... & a strong vote against ANY "for-profit" pursuits regarding healthcare, generally. (I hope that this doesn't brand me as a "raving Socialist"!) ^..^
herberthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04375097734444644319noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1350181109033523476.post-18187222873102246112018-03-08T15:29:59.723-08:002018-03-08T15:29:59.723-08:00Vitamin c is amazing in its ability to combat vari...Vitamin c is amazing in its ability to combat various disease.
